On 7th July 2020, Prof. Aminul Islam was appointed as President of University Folk & Traditional Music Club in which he made tireless efforts has not only made a significant impact on the club’s success but also on the sense of community and enthusiasm among members. Prof. Aminul Islam is Professor in the Department of Chemistry, AMU. Prof. Aminul Islam completed his Ph.D. programme in Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University in 2000. Currently he is a Professor and engaged in both post- and under-graduate teaching of analytical courses (Atomic spectrometry, Chromatography, Voltammetry, Conductometry, Potentiometry, X-ray absorption & fluorescence spectroscopy, Statistical Treatment of data). His research area focuses on designing metal selective graphene oxide composites and chelating resins with enhanced hydrophilicity and high capacity for the development and validation of analytical method of column preconcentration coupled atomic absorption spectrometric trace determination of toxic metal ions in real samples.
