Dr. Sadaf Fareed
Assistant Professor, Department of English
Dr. Sadaf Fareed is an Assistant Professor in English at the Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University. Her major academic interests are Gender Studies, Diaspora Writings, Dalit Literature and Translation Studies. Dr. Sadaf Fareed has three books to her credit. These are Parsi Diaspora: Expatriate Experience and Nostalgic Discourse, Literary Criticism: An Overview and A View on Postmodern Feminist Writings. She has been a part of SWAYAM and ARPIT programmes of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
She had also worked at Salman bin Abdulaziz University (now Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University), K.S.A. and at Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Lucknow Campus. She was an ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellow too.
She has several national and international publications to her credit and has been an active participant in various seminars and conferences of repute. Dr. Sadaf Fareed has been actively contributing articles to some reputed Newspapers also. Her writings specially focus upon contemporary Muslim-women and child issues. She has also participated in TV discussions relating to these and other issues.

Has innate instinct for innovation and creativity guided towards strategic research and the establishment of new enterprise in sport and its education.

Vibha Sharma is a Professor in the Department of English at Aligarh Muslim University. She has been prolific in her academic and scholarly interactions through dozens of international and national conference and seminars in the area of Theatre and Performance Studies, Translation Studies, Indian English Studies, Cultural Studies, Environmental Humanities and English Language Teaching. She has several publications in national and international journals and books on the above-mentioned topics. She has been a Visiting Faculty to Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden since 2013.

Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi

Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi is MD and DCH. Before joining as Assistant Professor in the department of Community Medicine, he had served as Surveillance Medical officer in WHO. Having a keen interest in skill development is also a national trainer for many Government national programmes namely IYCF, IMNCI, RNTCP, NSSK and has trained many health professionals and auxillary staff in various states of the country. Apart from his teaching medical students has been teaching Nursing and AYUSH students. He is also contributing his proficiency in public health by being a Liaison Officer for National Programs for JN medical College, as a University Health Officer and Coordinator of Red Ribbon Club Aligarh Muslim University.

Prof. Aminul Islam completed his Ph.D. programme in Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University in 2000. After a stint in IIT-Delhi as a research associate in CSIR project, he joined the department of chemistry, AMU in 2003 as Lecturer. Currently he is a Professor and engaged in both post- and under-graduate teaching of analytical courses (Atomic spectrometry, Chromatography, Voltammetry, Conductometry, Potentiometry, X-ray absorption & fluorescence spectroscopy, Statistical Treatment of data). His research area focuses on designing metal selective graphene oxide composites and chelating resins with enhanced hydrophilicity and high capacity for the development and validation of analytical method of column preconcentration coupled atomic absorption spectrometric trace determination of toxic metal ions in real samples.

Dr. Asma Kazmi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fine Arts, AMU, Aligarh. She has been teaching in the Department since 2003. A throughout first class Asma has earned Gold Medal in her MFA from AMU, Aligarh in 1994. She got her Ph.D. degree from the same university on Islamic Art-forms in Iranian Painting in 1998. Her fields of specialization are: Islamic Art, Portraiture, Landscape and Miniature Painting. Her Master?s level project on Religious Elements in Italian Art: Michelangelo?s Reflection has been published (after revision) from USA in 2012.

Presented 10 research papers and Published about 20 Research Papers in the Journals of repute and Guided 17 students in their Project Work of M.Sc.(Museology).Association with different professional bodies like Museum Association of India, IASC,ICBCP and Wildlife Society of India. Apart from Teaching and Research, rendered my services in University Administration as President, University Fusion Music Club; Councillor, AMURSA, Secretary UMC etc.

Dr. Swasti Rao
Assistant Professor, Department of Strategic & Security Studies
Swasti has a Masters in International Relations as well as an M. Phil. (in East Asian Studies) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has a PhD in Advanced International Politics from Tsukuba University, Japan where she lived for five years on the prestigious Japanese Education Ministry Fellowship (MEXT) that she received in 2011. Tsukuba University is one of the top 10 universities of Japan and also figures in the top 250 universities globally. She is also a recipient of the Okita Memorial Scholarship in 2010 from ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) and has published original research under those auspices. Her academic and research interests focus on Democracy, Civil Society, Women’s Empowerment, Participatory Democracy and Constructivist International Relations Theory.
